If you’re a Lyft driver interested in making the most of your driving time, you’re in luck.
Lyft recently rolled out a feature dubbed ‘destination mode’ for drivers.
This was launched last year for Lyft Line rides, and with great feedback, it’s now available for original rides as well.
So how does it work?
It’s simple, really.
Basically, destination mode works as a filter, so that Lyft drivers can pick up extra fares on the way home (or on the way elsewhere).
Switch the mode and you will be matched with ride requests from passengers headed in the same direction as you.
This way you can maximize your driving time to its fullest potential!
You can truly squeeze every opportunity to increase your driving income and earn even more.
How to Use Destination Mode
Switching in and out of destination mode is easy.
Simply toggle the ‘x’ next to your destination to switch.
Rides that you accept while in destination mode do count towards your acceptance rate, which is great.
They do not, however, count towards power driver bonuses or average guarantees.
How do I use destination mode?
Here’s how it works:
- In the upper right corner, tap the down-facing arrow.
- Select ‘Add Destination Mode.’
- Enter your destination and start driving. You’ll receive an alert if you receive a match on the way!
Lyft is so excited about this new feature, they even have a dedicated help page chock full of step-by-step instructions and frequently asked questions.
